What is GFCI ?
GFCI is the abbreviation of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter in English.
It is a special protection device for the North American market. The working voltage is 264VAC-102VAC, the working temperature is -35Deg~66Deg, the disconnection time is <25mS (at TRIP CURRENT of 500 ohms), Open current: 4~6 mA; North America's certification of GFCI is very strict, mainly UL and ETL certification, if UL certification is done, all tests of the product are carried out in the UL laboratory in the United States.
All GFCIs should be tested every time they are used to make sure they are working properly and protecting you from lethal shocks. GFCIs should be inspected after installation to ensure they work and properly protect the circuit.
To test the GFCI Outlet：
1.first plug the nightlight or lamp into the power outlet. The light should come on at that time, press the "TEST" button. The GFCI's "RESET" button should pop up, and the light will turn off.
2. If it says "reset" the button will pop up but the nightlight doesn't go off, the GFCI has been wired incorrectly. Contact an electrician to correct wiring errors.
If the "reset" button does not pop up, the GFCI is defective and should be replaced.
If the GFCI is functional and the lights are off, press the "reset" button to restore power to the way out.
